I joined up with the @MoraHQ boys again for a rebrand. My first brand project in a long time!
We worked hard over a short sprint to come up with a fresh and bold identity for the new Mora brand.
(Creating the aluminium texture involved AI, multiple Figma plugins, and lots of iterations โจ๐ชฉ)
Check it out!! ๐
After chat and code, analytics is the biggest opportunity in AI and it's still completely untapped with our current tools.
As founders, data scientists and operators we deserve something better.
That's why today we're launching @morahq ๐๐งต
@JimWhite down Cobham high street? I can't imagine he's still lurking around there, 5 months after he was fired from managing the team that train 5' minutes down the road ๐
After 1.5 years, I'm leaving @IndexBI at the end of the month and looking for something new.
I'm very proud of the work we created, and very grateful to @pladevall and @eportet for my time and the trust to lead design.
๐ I'm excited for the next chapter โ DMs are open!
Less than 48 hours after this, my Dad passed away, aged 53.
He was my hero. In fact, he is my hero.
When I was about 10 years old, he bought our first family PC. I learned to stack transparent images from Google on top of each other in Microsoft Paint to create album artwork. I loved drawing, because I watched him draw.
One day, I was on the floor drawing miniature maps โ and he knew how obsessed I was with the new PC โ he said, โyou would be interested in graphic designโ. My naive brain didnโt understand, but he patiently explained to me that someone created product labels, artwork, and packaging on a computer. Thatโs all I could think of for the next 7 or 8 years, until I left college (well, I got excluded, sorry, Dad) and landed my first job. The rest is history.
He is the reason I became a designer.
Without him really knowing, he helped design a bank for millions of people. He helped millions of cars get insured on UK roads. He helped 100,000s of people change the way they use the Mac computer and improve their productivity. And thatโs not even all of it.
He helped me build a future for my family, when one day I hopefully become a Dad, and get to pass on what he taught me about what it takes to be an incredible friend, father and role model.
His motivation and guidance is what allowed me to do what Iโm able to do today.
As I said, call your parents and tell them you love them. It was the last thing I said to my Dad โ and his reply was โI love you tooโ. That was enough.
Thank you will never be enough, but thank you, Dad ๐ค
@MichaelFilipiuk @IndexBI Appreciate it. This was actually done to present the designs and states โ I donโt always do it, but in this case I lost my voice earlier this week and wanted to make it super clear what everything was ๐
๐ฆ Lights out at @IndexBI
We made a huge leap forward in the new design system this month ahead of a big 2025. Proud of how the new pixels are turning out.
P.S. Name your layers ๐ค
We're making a conscious effort @IndexBI to remove unnecessary copy everywhere to help users make decisions faster where the context is clear.
Rule of thumb โ Keep to 2 words per action
โก Easier to scan โ less to read
๐ช Cleaner UI โ overall better experience

๐ป Felt inspired this weekend by apple[dot]com, so mocked up something in Framer.
What's missing? I'm not sure it's quite readyโฆ ๐ค
Anyone know how to animate a handwritten signature in Framer?
Experimenting with motion for @IndexBI in Figma.
It's important to make the app feel fast, so introducing animation on interactions naturally adds a delay to the user โ finding the balance between speed and delight is a fine line โ but this feels close.
๐คซ PS. A preview of some new UI coming soon.
(btw, gone are the days of going from Sketch to Protopie!)
