Lindsey Buckingham says that this album didn't do great commerically but it helped them to be seen by Mick Fleetwood.

Story goes this way, Mick Fleetwood listens to this album and at that time, Fleetwood Mac guitarist leaves the band.

After hearing this album and realizing the talent that Lindsey Buckingham proved in this specific album with his guitar playing, Mick Fleetwood offered him to join the band.

Lindsey didn't refuse but he also wanted to accept on one condition, his girlfriend, Stevie Nicks, she should also join the band if he's in.

Mick said yes, Christie McVie didn't argue and allowed a second woman to be in the band.

This album opened the way to greater albums like Rumours.
