New Year new position!
I am ever so pleased to announce my new role at the National Trust as Senior National Conservator - Stone and Plaster.
It’s been a huge leap to leave private practice but the NT came up with a role to fit this square peg and I couldn’t be happier.
@katebcarp Probably niche of the niche there is the @thecwordpodcast the conservators podcast. Tends to cover object, paper, textiles but they have other experts on and it’s been running a good while
Theodora; empress of Byzantine Empire from 527-548 CE, helped her husband Justinian hold onto his own power. She went on to rule alongside him, guiding programs that basically rebuilt city of Constantinople (now İstanbul), including iconic Hagia Sophia.
