@NateRoper_ Miz’s weight distribution and forward momentum are super clean. His whip out of his hand is also insanely fast. If you told me a pro is on the left I’d guess a AA player on the right. It’s not that Painter isn’t amazing (he absolutely is) it’s just Miz is perfection.

@BaseballBros I feel like I’ve explained this 100 times. Kid had an emotional reaction. He asked the coach and coach confirmed it was a strike. He got up and hit the ball after. He was swinging one handed because he hurt his elbow and they didn’t have a sub. Stop dumping on kids.

@BBGreatMoments There is context to this. Kid hurt his arm before and they didn’t have players left to sub so he had to hit one handed. If you watch the whole video he asked his coach and the coach confirmed the rule. He didn’t throw a fit he just had a single second emotional response.

@DonnieS50 @MetsSouthFla The point (i think) is less about this year and more about the fact that it is a trend. Over 2-3 years he will be okay and will still hit pretty well but he’s been trending down and years 4 and 5 will likely be tough for him. Hopefully Polar Bear proves us all wrong!

@kgriffinburner One of two scenarios is playing out. Either PCA had a career year last year and that was the best hitter he’ll ever be or he’s off to a slow start and he’ll pick it up. Either way he is fun to watch so I’m not overly concerned yet.

@RGIII You can’t tell from this angle where it crosses the plate. It may have missed low but it may also have crossed the front of the plate right at the line.

I *think* it was a ball. But it’s not such an egregious miss that we should be giving the ump crap for it.

@JLucroy20 Love this. Some things I was taught as a catcher as well. I have the best view of his swing so readjust the field a bit if his swing is early or late and adjusting for what is called to be thrown. Try to figure out where the batter is holding his weight on swing. Map out umps SZ
