This bill allowed for student's to take mental health days off from school, treated fairly and similar to the way you would of physical health days. As she mentions, "oftentimes that day off is the difference between feeling a whole lot better and a whole lot worse".

I am roughly six years into my part-time undergraduate journey, since working full-time and maintaining a 4.0 GPA has not been as easy as I'd like. This semester is a heavy load with Anatomy/Physiology, Gen Chem, and three other elective courses.. but I will persevere!! #Survival

My goals of entering medical school have stuck with me since beginning my career in the medical field doing front office work. Watching physicians and other healthcare providers change patients' lives set the tone for what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.
