Each location and cultural identity is sensitively observed and documented with approval sought. From Cuba's time capsule of vintage cars to Myanmar’s nimble fisher men and contemplating monks each piece is alluring in its own way.
Aitchison's unique talent of identifying and capturing an atmospheric, sometimes gritty, street scene, juxtaposed with aesthetic backdrops, ensures that each piece of work has an organic, honest yet captivating narrative.

Aitchison's previous work included being a Royal Rota Photographer and shooting stills on TV shows: The Big Breakfast; Big Brother.
Travel assignments followed which began a life long love affair with capturing the spontaneity of street life
Aitchison's photography career began in the 1980s with a chance meeting and an opportunity to help out in a busy London studio shooting still life for advertising. After a few years, studio life gave way to the lure and excitement of freelance work for newspapers and PR agencies
