@mlprintz05@AskAmex I have called twice with the same results. I was told that reoccurring payments are still connected to that card. I thought when a card is closed, its closed. I have payments since 2018 that I have to filter through. I never was told this would happen.
@mrbigz1226@AmericanExpress Agreed. I'm in the same boat. found out that the card I closed in 2018 with @AmericanExpress is still charging me for reoccurring merchant charges. I thought when a card was closed it's closed. We need answers!
For all @AmericanExpress card holders. Complaint. Did you know if you have your credit card compromised because of fraudulent charges that all your merchant accounts with reoccurring payments can still be charged to the credit card that was compromised?
The worst part is that @AmericanExpress doesn't even inform you. I asked where in the paperwork it was or if that standard was even mentioned to me when they canceled my card? Now I have payments that were made for clients since 2018 - 2021 that I paid for unknowingly.
