Keep posting this so nobody forgets that this was one of the worst events in American history.
Never has a sitting president encouraged his supporters to believe a lie so deeply that they’d be willing to attack or democracy.
Hey media
Not a Platner fan, but why is he a nonstop story and not Ken Paxton's TWENTY indictments by a GOP led-Texas legislature, securities fraud charges and his wife's filing for divorce on "biblical grounds?"
Snyder: The essence of MAGA is losing and pretending to win. Trump is a failed businessman whose political career depends on persuading people he is successful.
When he lost in 2020, he tried to convince people he had somehow won. 1/
Trump betrayed a decent, honorable man who had a 99.2 percent record of supporting him in the U.S. Senate. He destroyed the career of U.S. Senator Cornyn to elevate a dishonest, impeached and corrupt crook named Ken Paxton. (Google him. This guy is terrible.) When the President of the United States happily backs a bad man and throws a good man overboard, it sends a horrible message to the next generation. This president continues to do moral and ethical damage to the nation that will be hard to undo. Not surprised. But still disappointed in where GOP voters are.
Let me put it to you this way, if Kamala were president and all she did was sit in the Oval Office, drink wine and watch reruns of The View, our country would be ten times better off than it is right now.
You are seeing in real time why Trump companies went bankrupt so many times. Set aside your politics. This guy is incapable of making a deal or meaningful decision and it follows the same cycle. Big flashy announcement (Epic Fury). Adversity hits (Hormuz closed). Defraud stakeholders (promise two week solution). Freeze up (endless two week cycle loop). Compound the problem (resource depletion). Final chance to save face rejected (what you’re seeing now). Bankruptcy strikes and blame others during chaos. Rinse repeat.
@LauraLoomer@SenMullin Deporting American citizens because of their faith is called ethnic cleansing, not safety. Millions of American Muslims are home; they are doctors, soldiers, and taxpayers. The only 'invasive species' here is your un-American, fascist ideology.
They loved Marjorie Taylor Greene, now they hate her.
They loved Thomas Massie, now they hate him.
They loved Lauren Boebert, now they hate her.
They made fun of Biden for nodding off ("Sleepy Joe), now they ignore Trump outright falling asleep.
They put "I Did That" Biden stickers on high gas prices, now they ignore gas prices being even higher.
They bragged about Trump being the no wars President, now they support war.
They bashed Biden for sending money to Ukraine, now they ignore Trump sending money to both Ukraine and Israel.
They demanded the Epstein files, now they bash anyone asking for the Epstein files.
To be a MAGA is to be a slave.
Not physically, but mentally.
They stand for nothing.
We're up against people who stand for nothing.
And with the most misplaced confidence you've ever seen, they try to tell us whats-what.
We shouldn't even acknowledge these people.
The Trump supporters that remain are mentally too far gone.
I don't even want to argue with them anymore.
#BREAKING: Holder: “People need to understand…authoritarianism rose in Europe in the early part of the 20th century not because authoritarianism was strong, but because the defense of democracy was weak, and we CANNOT repeat that mistake. The risks are entirely too high.”🤔
"Enemy from within." "Communists, Marxists, fascists, radical left thugs, vermin." "Garbage" Somalis, "low IQ people." "She's an evil, sick, crazy, b..."
Republicans want the left to tone down the rhetoric. Erm, have they listened to Donald Trump??
Zeteo put together a montage:
Trump told you he’d run America like a business.
He is.
It’s called asset stripping. You sell the profitable pieces, gut the workforce, load it with debt, and walk away rich while everyone else holds the bag.
Congratulations. You didn’t elect a president. You hired a liquidator.
Trump spent years in a jealous rage, relentlessly slamming Barack Obama for unfreezing $1.7 billion of Iran's own money to Iran, calling it pathetic ransom money and proof of a disastrous, weak-kneed surrender. Driven by petty obsession, Trump spitefully ripped up the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, shredding every restraint on Tehran, and smugly promised the world a "better deal."
Instead, his childish vendetta supercharged Iran's nuclear program, pushing it dangerously close to the bomb. Now, in a breathtaking display of hypocrisy and failure, Trump is negotiating to hand Iran access to $20 billion in frozen funds — more than ten times what he once condemned — in exchange for the regime surrendering its near-weapons-grade uranium stockpile.
This is Trump at his most embarrassingly stupid: destroying a deal that had capped Iran's enrichment and kept it under watch, only to crawl back offering vastly more cash after his own incompetence made the threat far worse.
The man who mocked Obama for "giving" Iran money is now dangling a fortune in frozen assets while pretending it's a brilliant victory. It's not leadership — it's ego-driven incompetence and rank hypocrisy, a petty grudge that backfired spectacularly and left America facing a more expensive, more dangerous mess. Trump's jealous tantrum didn't make America safer; it just made the cleanup bill ten times bigger.
JD Vance is lecturing the Pope on Catholicism and Pierre Poilievre is lecturing Mark Carney on economics and RFK Jr is lecturing scientists about vaccines and Donald Trump is lecturing the world on tariffs and Pete Hegseth is quoting Pulp Fiction and thinking it’s the Bible
Truly incredible stuff here. This is such an egregious error for the A section of the NYT (not a typo, genuinely not knowing what NATO stands for) that it should lead every piece on the decline in journalism
Long after @realDonaldTrump is gone, this and future generations will be paying a terrible price for his war on science and discovery.
That, and not his name on buildings or ballrooms or currency, will be a big part of his legacy, and the cost of it in terms of lives and safety and lost discovery will be profound.

The unsettling reality is that with this president, Americans in wartime are in the unprecedented position of having to suspect that the enemy’s version of events is more likely to be true than our own.
We have become Baghdad Bob.
@LauraLoomer If I understand the rules... Anyone who says anything even slightly negative about Charlie Kirk's death should lose their jobs, but it’s acceptable to celebrate the death of someone who earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart just because he tried to hold your hero accountable.
