@VodafoneUK sent me nonsense broadband renewal figures 6+ times. Did renew in the end but for diff price again
But credit where credit's due. The email automation may be crap but the change of plan itself was seamless.
I woke up and everything just works with speed 2x faster
I dread @Windows updates.
Will they remove useful functionality? Add unhelpful bloat to slow my PC? Or just accidentally wipe my custom settings again? It's a roll of the dice.
And must I really roll these dice for 10 mins several times a week?!
Any options besides Linux?
All my Amazon smart home devices now continue listening/processing for ~10 mins whenever I give an instruction that can be executed locally (volume, stop, etc). Same for everyone else I've asked.
Amazon's "fix" was to offer me a discount on a new device.
fuck off lol
Anyone know of any modern cars whose "lane assist" functionality either a) works properly or b) can be turned off?
My @UKVolkswagen steers itself when it thinks I'm heading off lane. It's never right - and sometimes dangerous.
And it turns itself back on if I disable it.
Surely these eco bottle caps are a false economy?
How much water wasted cleaning extra spills? How many more disposable cleaning products?
And that's before we talk about accessibility, convenience, & cuts from sharp edges. I care about genuine eco progress, not this bollocks.
When saving a file or photo to @onedrive from my android phone, it helpfully lets me create a new folder to save to.
Unhelpfully, after doing so, it takes me right back to my top level OneDrive folder - so I have to click all the way back through to save.
Maximum inconvenience?
a result that was entirely predictable from research used to justify use of the jabs in the first place. let's focus on healthy habits like exercise and good food instead of obsession with the number on the scale #bodyneutrality#badmedicine

Hey @RoyalMail, I'm trying to contact you about a security risk in your tracking process. There's no relevant option on your "help" or "contact us" pages. Even if I select "Still haven't found what you are looking for?", I'm right back to the start. Pls assist. #enshittification
@PureGym's PIN-controlled doors have a cooldown period. After using one, you can't use ANY other entry without waiting. And there are two successive doors to enter my gym. So I have to endure this pointless cooldown period every visit.
I demand my ten seconds back.

Sturgeon was right that [at least] 90% of everything is crap.
But fixing that is beyond me, and I can't always be constructive. So I've changed my handle/name from "FixingSturgeonsLaw" to "Stuff's Broken".
If I select a 3h delay on my new @BekoUK washer, it delays for 1h. There is no option for a 1h or even 2h delay. Wish I could buy appliances from the 1990s
I disabled web protection on @Microsoft Defender (Android) for privacy reasons. Now I get 6+ notifications a day that I don't want or need - and I can't turn them off. eurgh #techbroke
@OnlineSupp52300 Nice to meet you. However, I don't know if you actually represent Beko, why you want to message in private, or why you're asking me to message you instead of simply messaging me. Is the problem even fixable?
How did we end up with touch screen controls in basically every car? Who agreed to this? It sucks. They take our visual attention away from the road and don't even function for some people. #techbroke
@HisenseGlobal@HisenseUK Hey @X, how come the stats for this post show there are two replies when there are in fact none visible? My notification showing a reply from @HisenseGlobal has also magically disappeared.
Hey @HisenseGlobal@HisenseUK, my dryer's heat exchanger can't be removed so I can't clean it. The manual says to use a soft brush vacuum... but heat exchangers in dryers stay wet for ages, and vacuums don't like wet. What gives? #techbroke
