It’s been two years since Tihran Oganessian and Mykyta Khanhanov were killed by Russian forces.

On June 24th, 2022, the two boys from Berdyansk were surrounded and executed. Their last words were:
“This is death, guys. Goodbye. Glory to Ukraine!”
To which the other replied: “Glory to the Heroes!”

Tigran and Mykyta were two teenage boys from Berdyansk who became symbols of Ukrainian resistance in the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine. Despite their young age, they openly opposed the Russian occupation of their hometown.

They were actively involved in acts of defiance against the occupiers, such as spreading pro-Ukrainian messages, participating in peaceful protests, and refusing to cooperate with the invaders. Their courage made them targets of the Russian-installed authorities.

They were just kids.

Eternal memory to the young Ukrainians.
