의원직 사퇴 관례와 관련하여 조심스레 입장을 말씀드립니다.

저의 의원직 사퇴와 관련해 특권이나 혜택으로 비춰질 수 있다는 여러 우려에 대해 잘 알고 있습니다.

당의 진로와 무관한 제 개인의 문제라면, 그리고 기본소득당의 의원이 저 혼자가 아니었다면, 의원직 사퇴 여부를 고민하지 않았을 것입니다.

그러나 연합정치의 제도�� 공백으로 비례대표 의원직 승계를 기본소득당이 할 수 없는 상황에서, 당 소속 유일한 국회의원인 제가 사퇴할 경우 기본소득당이 원외정당이 되어야 하는 어려움이 있습니다.

개인의 결정이 당의 진로와 직결될 수밖에 없는 소수정당의 어려움에 대해 고개 숙여 양해를 구합니다.

아울러 저는 차기 총선에서 비례대표로 출마하지 않겠다고 당에 이미 입장을 밝힌 바 있다는 점도 말씀드립니다.

국민 여러분의 격려와 비판의 목소리 모두 겸허한 태도로 경청하고 고민하며, 인사청문회에서 성실하게 답변할 수 있도록 준비하겠습니다.

취임직후부터 균형발전을 위한 대규모 지방투자와 개발을 위해 국가 차원의 준비를 하며 경제계에 협조요청을 해 왔는데 속도가 크게 나지 않았습니다.

만약 3대 메가 프로젝트가 지지율 관리를 위한 정치적 수단이었다면 지방선거 전에 시작했겠지요.

균형발전, 포용적 지속성장, 대체불가 대한민국 건설을 위한 3대 메가프로젝트는 국민과 대한민국에 새로운 희망과 미래를 만들 것입니다.
