@brhodes says it’s unlikely we return to the traditional media environment. The politicians that have had the most success communicating to their audience in this environment eliminate any barriers w/ traditional media outlets. #SUPD2019
@sgadarian: The role of mass media is to inform society what is happening, and then how they should feel about it. The media has enormous influence over how people perceive international events. #SUPD2019
@brhodes says we’re moving into an environment where there is still something that is identifiably the “main stream media”— but it’s a diminishing market share — increasingly people are selecting the information they want. #SUPD2019
@sgadarian: The role of #massmedia is to inform society of what’s happening, and then how they should feel about it. This gives the mass media enormous influence over how society views world events. #SUPD2019
@brhodes leaves us with a final note: How can we communicate through our own actions and examples what we stand for as a country in a world with rising authoritarian leaders & models? #SUPD2019
