@Jajarisamucha@HeavensFirstMan@Hols2003@Cupcake13829481 Do you know how that would that framing make her look? If she mentions she wasn't interested in having sex w Stolas, then she might as well be making fun of herself AND Stolas and not merely putting the light on Stolas himself when both were miserable doing it
@Jajarisamucha@HeavensFirstMan@Hols2003@Cupcake13829481 Both of them didn't want to have sex with each other. Making an heir was awkward and both were obligated to have it. Stella is cruel for making fun of the situation, but she was literally gossiping among high society, she gonna leave out details of her being just as uninterested
@Belovedjesters can I just talk about why ppl think stella raped Stolas?? Just because of her comment that he was boring in bed. Like do ppl not get that she only said that to put the attention and shame unto Stolas and not unto her.. when both of them didn't want to have sex w each other
@literallydarnel Genuinely HB had such interesting concept to me. The power hierarchy of hell, the different rings.. the complexities within the characters. Genuinely everything went wrong.
@stnvls like in the POV of Blitzo and Stella, Stolas did hurt them.. atleast in the way that matters to them.. like in the earlier seasons basically reducing Blitzo for his race of being an imp and the way his and Stella's earlier relationship before their arranged wedding
@stnvls never said it any better! Genuinely Stolas in his perspective and upbringing, maybe his actions do make sense. I genuinely don't think Stolas is malicious but other people aren't omnipresent that they can immediately understand Stolas intentions when he acts that way.
@korvytron or remove the power dynamic behind Stolitz. Blitzo literally did not know Stolas saw him more than just a sex partner, and how can he? In the earlier season and episodes, Stolas keeps treating Blitzo as something cute or a little imp.
@korvytron I think people need to cut Blitzo some slack because majority of his wrongs r literally just miscommunication. And no the arrangement Stolas and Blitzo had was not equal.. Stolas being somewhat unaware of his privelage literally does not make any of his actions less coercive ->
@Crowley_NRC Don't apologize those ppl r fucking immature enough, heck even if you were wrong (which you aren't) they r literally fucking adults mature enough and willing to shit on someone who clearly has had a traumatizing experience IRL and still a minor says a lot about them.
@JamorrisT84496@Sant519051 I'm not excusing Stella's actions, I'm giving a reason behind them, these aren't excuses. It's just light into "why" because characters always have a driving force behind their actions otherwise they are just one-dimensional and serve as a plot piece.
@JamorrisT84496@Sant519051 When HB only had S2, absolutely the whole fandom shitted on Stella and saw Stolas as innocent when in reality almost no character in HB doesn't have something messed up abt them. You can acknowledge but also empathize with a character without excusing them
@JamorrisT84496@Sant519051 Stella's abuse towards Stolas isn't defended or excused, she still did abuse him during their marriage, but ppl r empathizing with her because of the reality of HB world building is so much about hierarchy and power imbalance
@korvytron BIG W to Blitzo, criticize him in other episodes but not this one.
thankfully atleast ONE of them priorities their daughters, and Blitzo wasn't even aware Stolas could get hurt like he's literally shocked because their status both in power gap are huge he didnt know.
@TheAmreld@maryladyarkham@Gabrieleronzin1 I think Stolas cheating is still bad even if in his perspective and circumstances it feels right. But like it doesn't make the action anything good. Like Stolas cheating on her with an imp absolutely still hurt Stella's pride and Octavia family life more than a divorce would.
