'Rehabilitation is often secondary prevention.'
A point well made by @WesStreeting. 👆
Improved access to rehabilitation would support more stroke survivors to recover well, reduce their risk of another stroke, prevent hospital readmission, and reduce future demand on the NHS.

🚨 New Study: Botulinum Toxin for Sialorrhea in Severe Brain Injury Patients
Sialorrhea, the inability to control saliva, poses serious challenges for severe ABI patients, including drooling and chest infections.
Our latest research on 79 SG-BoNT treatments in 49 patients reveals:
✅ Clinically effective at reducing drooling severity.
✅ Fewer chest infections, especially with repeated treatments or higher doses.
✅ Safe—no adverse events reported.
📌 The reduced chest infection rate is a novel finding in this population.
Learn how SG-BoNT treatments are advancing specialist care for ABI.
