Team “Tahajjud works like magic”...
I don’t know if you’re aware, but just the walk to the masjid to perform an obligatory salāh is far more significant — immeasurably more — than spending the entire night praying tahajjud.
Whatever Allah has made obligatory is much, much, and much more important than any subsidiary act.
Allah says in a hadith qudsī:
“My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him...”
It’s after fulfilling the obligatory acts of worship that we can move on to the voluntary ones.
That’s why Allah continues in the same hadith:
“And My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary deeds until I love him.”
(Sahih al-Bukhārī, 6502)
So, prioritise your five daily salāh more than your tahajjud, because love for Allah begins with what He made obligatory, not what’s optional.
