@ElstKoenraad The reason for the attacks by Twitter warriors on SRG and others is that it is easier to attack people rather than ideas. Countering ideas requires research and knowledge. What the BJP and RSS routinely do is throw crumbs at Hs instead of giving them equality by law.
@Secular_momen@ElstKoenraad Sri Rama fought because his wife was kidnapped. It was personal. Krishna fought with Kamsa and Sishupala. The Mahabharata war was not his war. It was the between the cousins. His became a charioteer gave his fighting army to Duryodhana, only because help was requested.
@thatindicmonk @UnSubtleDesi@pandeyji_k_beta@RahulEaswar People will realize that his utterances have the same value as MKGs and that original texts are accessible to all now, and can be read without the misinterpretations and reinterpretations of those who have a prejudiced view.
@harshmadhusudan Plurality of beliefs and opinions is the hallmark of Hinduism. Different gurus have their own opinions. But "intercaste" marriages have existed even in our ithihaasa and Puranas--e.g. Shantanu and Satyavati. The desire for rigidity perhaps comes from fear of losing traditions.
@TheGopalan@indhavaainko @sowmiyasid No one considers him insignificant; they think he is dangerous and detrimental to the nation. The BJP does not underestimate the damage the congress govts of the past did, nor the damage they are capable of if in power.
@Swamy39 All humans share DNA. We even share 98 percent of DNA with a chimpanzee. Doesn't make us the same. It is beliefs and actions that count, not DNA. Even the Pandavas and Kauravas shared DNA but it didn't stop the war.
@AtriNeeraj@ElstKoenraad When did the gov't ever speak for H rights. No matter which party is in power, they are all the same. The problem is also the H religious leaders who pander to these parties instead of holding them accountable and demanding H interests are protected.
@drsdgulati @DavidBCohen1 They can't because for them their beliefs are not a perspective about the divine, but the only truth, even though there is not an iota of proof of it. So they pass off belief as fact, which most other religions are sensible not to do.
@Aabhas24 This must be JNU methodology, where a single primary source is sought for 800 years of history covering the genocide of the native populations, that invaders very proudly sought to eradicate. All of them were proud to be a Ghazi incl. Akbar when he killed 30,000 in Chittoor.
@tishasaroyan The Cholas referred to themselves as Aryaputra and claimed to be SuryaVanshi. Your argument is like saying there are no cats because cats do not refer to themselves as cats. When the only religion around was Hinduism aka Sanatana Dharma, only sects were identified by name.
@tishasaroyan Yet you follow Romila who knows no Sanskrit. Krishna is mentioned in the earliest Upanishads, the Chandogya, and is considered a historical figure even in departments of Religion in US universities. Passing of historical people as myth is probably not very scholarly.
@tishasaroyan How many degrees does Romila need to tell the lie that Yudhishtra learned statecraft from Ahoka or that Aurangzeb didn't destroy temples due to hatred of Hindus and their religion? None of our Rishis had degrees, yet they composed the Upanishads. SR Goel told the truth.
@Sanjay_Dixit@RSSorg No one can accuse them of being intellectual, knowledgeable, or even strategic. SR Goel was quite prophetic when he called them "the biggest collection of duffers".
