Today at the @EBRD Headquarters in London, Amb. Rose Makena Muchiri, Registrar of Treaties of the Republic of Kenya, formally presented Kenya’s accession documents to EBRD Secretary General @MilicaDelevic, marking an important institutional milestone in Kenya’s membership of the Multilateral Development Bank.

Kenya’s membership of the EBRD presents a new channel for cooperation in private-sector development, investment mobilisation, infrastructure development, and sustainable, climate-resilient growth. The Bank’s business-focused mandate is closely aligned with Kenya’s #BETA agenda and the Government's efforts to broaden access to sustainable, inclusive, fair and impactful long-term investment for the private sector

Notably, EBRD will operate its first African headquarters and the Bank's sub-Saharan regional hub from Nairobi.
