भारत के Manufacturing PMI में लगातार गिरावट देखने को मिल रही है। अगस्त 2026 में Manufacturing PMI गिरकर 52.8 पर पहुंच गया, जो पिछले 5 वर्षों का सबसे निचला स्तर है। जुलाई में यह 53.5 था। यानी सिर्फ एक महीने में भी गिरावट दर्ज हुई है।

सबसे अहम बात यह है कि यह लगातार तीसरे महीने PMI में गिरावट है।

यानि अगस्त 2025 के 59.3 से अगस्त 2026 में 52.8 तक, Manufacturing PMI में 6.5 अंकों की गिरावट आई है।

आखिर PMI 52.8 का मतलब क्या है?

PMI में 50 का स्तर महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है।

➡️ 50 से ऊपर = मैन्युफैक्चरिंग गतिविधि में विस्तार
➡️ 50 से नीचे = गतिविधि में संकुचन

इसलिए 52.8 का मतलब यह नहीं है कि मैन्युफैक्चरिंग पूरी तरह गिर गई है, बल्कि यह है कि विस्तार जारी है, लेकिन उसकी रफ्तार पिछले वर्षों की तुलना में काफी कमजोर हो गई है।

अगस्त में कमजोर मांग के कारण output और नए orders की वृद्धि धीमी हुई, जबकि रोजगार में भी गिरावट दर्ज हुई। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सेक्टर में रोजगार ढाई साल से अधिक समय में पहली बार घटा।

📉 सवाल इसलिए बड़ा है क्योंकि...

जिस Manufacturing PMI ने अगस्त 2025 में 59.3 का मजबूत स्तर हासिल किया था, वही अब एक साल बाद 52.8 पर आ गया है।

यानी:

59.3 ➡️ 52.8

12 महीनों में -6.5 अंक

और अब यह 5 साल का सबसे कमजोर Manufacturing expansion है।

इसीलिए कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा (@Pawankhera) का यह कहना कि "Manufacturing is crashing" सरकार के लिए गंभीर सवाल खड़े करता है।

अगर उत्पादन की रफ्तार कमजोर हो रही है, नए ऑर्डर घट रहे हैं और रोजगार पर भी दबाव दिखाई दे रहा है, तो सरकार को सिर्फ GDP के आंकड़ों का जश्न मनाने के बजाय Manufacturing, Jobs और Private Demand की वास्तविक स्थिति पर जवाब देना चाहिए।

🚨 GDP की headline growth अपनी जगह है, लेकिन रोजगार पैदा करने वाली manufacturing की रफ्तार लगातार कमजोर होना चिंता का विषय है।

बस की सीटों पर पर्दे लगे थे, ताकि अंदर क्या हो रहा है कोई देख न सके। और अपराधियों में प्रशासन का कोई डर भी नहीं।

निर्भया के बाद इतने सालों में, इतनी घटनाओं के बाद भी ऐसी बसों की जाँच और निगरानी के नियमों का पालन क्यों नहीं हो रहा?

पर्दे सिर्फ़ उस बस में नहीं डाले गए थे - साल दर साल सरकार द्वारा प्रशासन की नाकामियों पर डाले गए पर्दों का नतीजा है कि देश की राजधानी में भी महिलाएं एक सुरक्षित सफर नहीं कर सकतीं।

और कितनी महिलाओं और बच्चियों के साथ ऐसा होना बाक़ी है, तब जाकर केंद्र और राज्य सरकारें इस व्यवस्था को ठीक करेंगी?

क्या अमित शाह के अधीन दिल्ली पुलिस और आदित्यनाथ के अधीन UP पुलिस की जवाबदेही तय की जाएगी? कोई गुंजाइश ही नहीं - इस अपराध पर भी एक पर्दा डाल दिया जाएगा।

I am writing this because I want the educated and privileged sections of my city, the so-called elite of Kolkata, to pause for a moment and look beyond the comfortable world in which many of us live. There is another Kolkata that exists alongside ours, often unseen and unheard—the Kolkata of the poorest of the poor, of families struggling with basic necessities, of people whose poverty, religion and votes are too often discussed as political statistics rather than as human lives.

This is why the situation in Ward No. 6 of Kashipur-Belgachia, particularly Jyotinagar Colony, deserves everyone’s attention. Around 5,000 residents are reportedly facing serious problems with water and electricity, with the crisis continuing for more than a month. It is very easy to read that sentence and move on. But behind those 5,000 people are mothers trying to manage their homes, elderly people struggling through the heat, children whose daily lives have been disrupted and families who simply want the dignity of having water in their homes and electricity at night. For many of us, turning on a tap or switching on a light is something we do without thinking. For these families, it has apparently become a daily struggle.

This is not about 5,000 votes. It is about 5,000 people. Many of these residents belong to the minority community, but honestly, that should not matter when we speak about something as basic as water and electricity. Their religion should neither make their suffering more important nor make it easier for anyone to ignore. A Muslim family does not need to prove its political loyalty before deserving water. A Hindu family does not need to prove its political loyalty before deserving electricity. We are citizens first, and human beings before we are members of any political or religious category.

1- HSBC ने पाया कि भारत सेवाओं (services) के लिए CPI के बजाय WPI का इस्तेमाल करता है। CPI में सेवाओं की महंगाई दर 3.4% थी, लेकिन GDP में सेवाओं के लिए इस्तेमाल किया गया डिफ्लेटर (deflator) सिर्फ़ 1.9% था। अगर सही महंगाई दर का इस्तेमाल किया जाए, तो सेवाओं की वास्तविक ग्रोथ 1.5 पॉइंट कम हो जाती है। यहाँ तक कि CEA अनंत नागेश्वरन ने भी डिफ्लेटर के असर को माना है।

2- यह ग्रोथ सरकारी कैपेक्स (capex) की वजह से हुई, जिसमें 23.6% की बढ़ोतरी हुई, और फ़ाइनेंशियल/रियल एस्टेट सेवाओं में 12.1% की ग्रोथ दिखी। प्राइवेट कैपेक्स अभी भी गायब है। पिछली तिमाही के मुकाबले ग्रॉस फ़िक्स्ड कैपिटल फ़ॉर्मेशन (GFCF) की रफ़्तार धीमी हुई, और प्राइवेट खपत में 1.8 पॉइंट की गिरावट आई।

3- PLFS मई 2026 के अनुसार, बेरोज़गारी बढ़कर 5.5% हो गई - जो 11 महीनों में सबसे ज़्यादा है और लगातार चौथी बार मासिक बढ़ोतरी है। ग्रामीण बेरोज़गारी 12 महीने के उच्चतम स्तर 5.1% पर पहुँच गई।

4- LFPR (लेबर फ़ोर्स पार्टिसिपेशन रेट) गिरकर 54.4% और WPR गिरकर 51.4% हो गया - लोगों ने उम्मीद छोड़ दी है। महिलाओं का LFPR 8 महीने के निचले स्तर 33.9% पर है।

5- मैन्युफ़ैक्चरिंग में 9.2% की ग्रोथ इसलिए हुई क्योंकि एक्सपोर्टर्स ने US द्वारा 50% टैरिफ़ लगाने से पहले तेज़ी से ऑर्डर पूरे किए; यह टिकाऊ मांग (sustainable demand) नहीं थी।

1- HSBC found India uses WPI to deflate services, not CPI. CPI services inflation was 3.4% but GDP services deflator used was only 1.9%. If you use correct inflation, real services growth falls by 1.5 points. Even CEA Anantha Nageswaran acknowledged deflator impact.

2- The growth was driven by government capex which grew 23.6% and financial/real estate services showing 12.1% growth. Private capex is STILL MISSING. Gross fixed capital formation slowed vs last quarter, and private consumption declined by 1.8 points.

3- As per PLFS May 2026, unemployment rose to 5.5% - highest in 11 months, 4th straight monthly increase. Rural unemployment hit 12-month high of 5.1%.

4- LFPR (Labour Force Participation Rate) fell to 54.4% and WPR fell to 51.4% - PEOPLE HAVE GIVEN UP. Female LFPR at 8-month low of 33.9%.

5- Manufacturing growth of 9.2% was because exporters rushed orders ahead of US 50% tariffs, NOT SUSTAINABLE DEMAND.
