On 7.8 per cent GDP growth in first quarter,

Congress leader @PawanKhera says,

“The Prime Minister comes up with a reel, a video. Ask him: the largest demographic in this country is the youth. How does this GDP growth affect the youth? How does it address the issues that young people face? The largest occupation in this country is agriculture. How does this GDP growth affect the agricultural sector? If it doesn’t benefit these two sectors, how does it affect the dwindling manufacturing sector? Look at the manufacturing data. So, what is he even talking about? A handful of people contribute to the growth of this country, but where is the redistribution of income? Where is the distribution of income? After a string of disappointments, Modi is back with another Instagram victory lap - this time it's 7.8% GDP growth. Maybe he knows how hollow that number really is, which is why he resorted to these theatrics.

🚫 Coming from the BJP, this statistic can be dismissed as meaningless. In November 2025, the IMF gave India's national accounts a "C" grade, flagging methodological gaps serious enough to cloud any confident estimation of GDP and GVA.

But set that aside for a moment. Assume, for the sake of an argument, the number is exactly what it claims to be - 7.8%, driven by finance, real estate, IT, and professional services.

Now consider who makes up India’s largest sections of society:

💪🏽 A young country - roughly 65% of the population is under 35.

🌾 An agrarian country - agriculture and allied activities remain the primary livelihood for close to 55% of Indians.

So ask the only question that matters:

Does this growth touch either of them?

❌ NO ❌

Then what's it even good for?

Growth that bypasses the majority of the country - by age, by occupation - isn't inclusive and hence, isn't meaningful.

It is just a number on paper.

Unfortunately, neither is the govt showing concern about this matter, nor is there any sign of the kind of energy and outrage within society that used to be seen in the past. When an incident like this occurs, there ought to be some level of public indignation. It is only when people witness such events and genuinely take to the streets to question the police and the administration that measures for reform are sometimes initiated.

Yet, it is deeply unfortunate that the government appears, in a sense, both mute and deaf to the situation. I do not believe the law and order situation in Delhi has ever been as dire as it is now. Furthermore, there is a visible lack of the social awakening that ought to be present in Delhi.

Delhi has always been a city keenly aware of women's empowerment and equality, yet even here, people are not coming forward openly as they once did.

The BJP-ECI’s lies are now hanging like an albatross around their neck.

Nearly 2 crore voters have been excluded from Maharashtra’s electoral roll under SIR.

The @ECISVEEP itself had acknowledged that nearly 40 lakh electors were added in just five months between the 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

@RahulGandhi and the Congress flagged this abnormal increase at the time. But the BJP and ECI dismissed our concerns and expressed complete confidence in the voter list.

Now two years later, given the large number of deletions in the SIR, the BJP-ECI duo has stripped its own lies naked before the country.

Crucial questions arise:

❓If the voter list was impeccable just two years ago, why are nearly 2 crore voters being excluded now?

❓If it wasn’t beyond reproach, why did the BJP-ECI insist so confidently that it was?

❓And what does this faulty voter list from two years ago say about the legitimacy of Devendra Fadnavis as Chief Minister and the BJP as Maharashtra’s ruling party?

The writing is on the wall:

जिस व्यक्ति के ख़िलाफ़ बीजेपी ने देश भर में 40-50 केस करा दिए हैं, उनके ख़िलाफ़ एक और FIR हो भी गई तो कौनसा आसमान सर पर टूट पड़ा?

असली मुद्दा राहुल जी के ख़िलाफ़ हुआ FIR नहीं है। असली मुद्दा ‘शुद्धिकरण’ का है।

बीजेपी और उत्तराखंड सरकार की नीयत देखिए।

जिस व्यक्ति ने शुद्धिकरण के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ उठाई, उनके खिलाफ तो तुरंत FIR कर दी।

लेकिन जिन लोगों ने शुद्धिकरण किया और करवाया, उनके ख़िलाफ़ अब तक एक FIR तक नहीं हुई।

श्री @kharge जी ने संसद में खड़े होकर कहा कि शुद्धिकरण ��ुआ है। उत्तराखंड सरकार की जिम्मेदारी है कि FIR करे। बाकी क्या हुआ, किसने किया, क्यों किया – वो investigation में सामने आ ही जाएगा।

फिर FIR दर्ज करने से इतना डर क्यों?

आखिर बीजेपी और उत्तराखंड सरकार शुद्धिकरण के ख़िलाफ़ FIR से कतरा क्यों रही है?

क्या उनकी दलित गरिमा और न्याय सुनिश्चित करने की कोई मंशा ही नहीं है?
