Quiz teams who went on to stellar careers!
@ShashiTharoor and Ramu Damodaran, former diplomat, ambassador & UN Communications director represented St. Stephen's with great success in the 70s.
@Ram_Guha must also have teamed up with Shashi at some point in that period.
@NandanNilekani & @Jairam_Ramesh were a star turn for IIT Bombay around the same time.
And in the first Quiz Time presented by @babubasu in 1985 - former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and Jayant Sinha, the former MOS for Finance and Civil Aviation represented IIT Delhi. In that same season @sardesairajdeep represented St. Xavier's Mumbai.

Drop 11/14: We have been releasing Sarvam’s models and products - and yes, there is more to come. But today, we are excited to share the real and diverse impact our work is driving at scale.
First up, preserving our cultural heritage. We have been working with Ekatra Foundation and @navajivantrust (founded by Mahatma Gandhi) to digitize Gujarati documents from the early 19th and 20th centuries.
Through this collaboration, we built out a whole product - Sarvam Akshar. Powered by the Sarvam Vision model, Akshar delivers state-of-the-art accuracy enabling reliable digitization of complex, real-world documents.
Akshar sets the stage for our effort to leverage foundational models to preserve India’s cultural heritage - a direction we will double down on. Read more in our blog: https://t.co/kX9t0rZW1v

In Kolkata, ordinary citizens came together through WhatsApp to fund and light up 90+ heritage buildings & restore old clocks turning forgotten structures into glowing landmarks of pride. A wonderful initiative. A model for every city! 🌆💡
Mourning the passing of the Rev Cyril Debruslais, SJ, a brilliant Jesuit philosopher and theologian, in Pune yesterday. I had the pleasure and honour of knowing him in my high school years at St Xavier‘s, Calcutta. As a 14 year old flirting with the appeal of atheism, I was profoundly struck by a lecture he delivered in response to my scepticism, making the epistemological arguments for the existence of God. While rationalism always has its limits in matters of faith, that ability to combine reasoning with conviction was a hallmark of even the young “Father Cyril”, who went on to shape generations of priests at the Janna Deepa Theological seminary in Pune. His imprint will be left behind on many minds , who will In turn transmit his wisdom, compassion, and faith in human liberation to generations yet to come. Rest in peace, Father Cyril!
It was a truly enriching meeting with Mr. Martin Schroeter. India warmly welcomes global partners to explore the vast opportunities in our nation and collaborate with our talented youth to innovate and excel.
Together, we all can build solutions that not only benefit India but also contribute to global progress.
1. A chill is setting in in India-US relations
2. New Delhi reckons it's facing the most structured assault on its strategic autonomy — industrial supply chains and foreign policy — in a long time
3. Impact will be long term
