This was a hard decision for me.

I've been making a few hundred dollars a month from those ads, which helped justify the hundreds of hours I've spent on the site.

But ultimately, I can't justify the invasiveness of these ad platforms. I hate the user experience, and I hate peddling the data of my users for a quick buck.

So, no more ads, no more monetization.

Enjoy all I have learned about Obsidian, without attention grabbing obnoxiousness!

I'm working on something new that hopefully will provide income to the site, but at less of a cost to me and my readers.
