@SenRandPaul They won’t.
Social security can become solvent in 10 years with just a little bit of effort.
Congress won’t do anything other than kick the can down the road. You all never do.
@dominik_walecki@LeighWolf The US didn’t enter the war until we were pulled into it. The government certainly wanted to intercede, mostly because of English lobbying, but public support wasn’t there.
Do you find yourself in fear of being raped?
The only thing that stops violence is violence of the threat thereof, sure. But that does nothing to address the causes of violence and I’m certain it’s not your ass that causes it.
The US (not the west) is a violent culture as the result of generations of marketing and propaganda. It is what it is and we’re beyond the point of correcting that. All we’re left with is having to own and embrace that reality—which requires even more acceptance of violence.
Still doesn’t have anything to do with your ass.
@infantrydort@CynicalPublius I’m not arguing for/against legacy media or Hegseth’s decision.
However, how is it even possible to weigh in on the honesty or accuracy of this report?
@joeroganhq It’s not democracy that’s not working. It’s political parties.
People will literally complain about everything to avoid addressing the root cause.
@cstephencox@NancyMace I get so tired of hearing this. That’s Christian conservatism, not conservatism.
It’s fine to tack caveats and conditions on, but donr pretend one of these defines the entirety of conservatism.
@ewarren And? So what you’re saying is that Congress should be allowed to do this with impunity but the President shouldn’t?
I’m not sure what is more corrupt. Stock trading with your thumb on the scale or complaining about someone doinf it while holding your own thumb on the scale.
