There is a breed of Indians: educated, English-speaking, privileged who qualify perfectly as #NarazFufa
If it doesn’t work, they’re angry.
If it works, they’re angrier.
How dare it work?
Think of when Marks & Spencer first came to India.
What had once been a little badge of privilege -shopping at M&S abroad - was suddenly accessible to ordinary Indians too.
The monopoly on aspiration was broken.
So they sniffed ‘Who goes to M&S ?’
Now extend it to high-speed trains, expressways, air travel, holidays abroad.
A rising middle class is accessing things once reserved for the privileged.
Kya bhai? Sab yeh maza lenge?!
The catalogue of everything wrong with us must continue.
The problem isn’t that India has problems.
It’s that some people need India to be defined by them.
Because what happens to your superiority when India starts getting things right?
April 2010
Naxals killed 76 Jawans in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Then Home Minister P. Chidambaram offered to resign.
BJP was in Opposition, but asked Chidambaram not to Resign.
Do you know why?
BJP said if Chidambaram quits, Maoists will hail it as their victory. Also, home minister "cannot be seen as retreating".
"We expect him to face the situation boldly. We cannot see the country standing defeated by Maoists"
"Chidambaram should make aspirational statements to boost the morale of the security forces. The BJP will support all the endeavours of the government in its battle to finish the Leftist rebels."
Millennials are now sandwiched between a generation that believes everything they read on WhatsApp and a generation that believes everything they see on Instagram.
@Theintrepid_ I pity these useful idiots who think they are doing something revolutionary 🤦♀️. They have no knowledge of past or present beyond insta reels.
@Sharroh45 She is not attacking the mother love but her insecurity. They weaponise this insecurity to attack the new relationship their child is entering.
@priyankadeo Not justifying or supporting what the 20 year old did but according to social media They were sending her on a vacation to Bali with the fiancé before marriage. She could only cancel it by tearing or hiding the passport. I don’t think anyone cared about her
