Understand what the kiffiyeh represents.

Pictured on the left is Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, a convert to Islam.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau murdered Corporal Nathan Cirillo (28), who was standing sentry at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

He committed an Islamic terrorist attack while wearing a kiffiyeh.

Zehaf-Bibeau fired three shots into Cirillo's back. Cirillo had a 5-year-old son at the time of his murder.

Zehaf-Bibeau then had a shootout with Parliamentary security, during which he was killed.

Pictured on the right is Ruba Ghazal, during her swearing-in ceremony. Ghazal is the leader of the far-left political party Québec Solidaire.

Ruba Ghazal swung around a kiffiyeh, as an act of dominance, in Québec's provincial legislature-l'assemblée nationale (NA).

A few years ago, the cross was taken down from the wall of the NA. The cross was a symbol of Québec's French Catholic cultural heritage, her foundational values, and the faith belief which shaped the history and people of the province of Québec.

Nature abhors a vacuum. When people erase their own cultural heritage, the cultural heritage will be replaced.

In Québec it was first replaced by Marxism, which is morphing into what the French call, "Islamogauchism" or Islamoleftism.

Islamoleftism is a virulent and dangerous ideology. Just look at France burning. Read about what happened in Iran in 1979.

But some Québecers still have a historical memory. One started a petition for Ruba Ghazal's resignation. It already has 85,000 signatures.

Ghazal won only 17,761 votes to secure her seat. Quebecers are sending a strong message.

Will their political leaders listen?

@PaulPlamondon, leader of the Parti Québécois' minority government, has not addressed what happened. Avoidance demonstrates weakness and lack of resolve to defend Québec's values.

@E_Duhaime, on the other hand, made a statement rejecting the wearing of the kiffiyeh. He underscored that his allegiance was to Québecers and not to foreign causes.

The brazen display of conquest is a golden political opportunity to advocate for Québec's culture and values. Leaders must unequivocally reject Islamoleftism and other extremist ideologies which have no place in Western society.
