சிறப்புத் தீவிர திருத்தம் (SIR) என்ற பெயரில் வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் இருந்து கோடிக்கணக்கான மக்களின் பெயர்களை நீக்கும் முடிவுக்கு திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம் உள்ளிட்ட எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் தொடர்ந்து எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்து வந்தோம். ஒவ்வொரு மாநிலத்திலும் தேர்தலுக்குச் சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு அவசர கதியில் நடத்தப்பட்ட இந்தப் பணியில் பல குளறுபடிகள் நடந்தன. மேற்கு வங்கம் உள்ளிட்ட மாநிலங்கள் போர்க்களம் ஆயின.

இந்நிலையில், இன்று இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் நாளேட்டில் அடுக்கடுக்கான ஆதாரங்களுடன் வெளியாகியுள்ள செய்தி, SIR-க்குப் பின்பு நடந்த அனைத்துச் சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல் முடிவுகளையும் கேள்விக்குள்ளாக்கி உள்ளது. தலைமைத் தேர்தல் ஆணையர் திரு. ஞானேஷ் குமார் அவர்கள் மற்ற தேர்தல் ஆணையர்கள் இருவரின் ஒப்புதல் இல்லாமல் தன்னந்தனியாக, இரகசியமாகச் செயல்பட்டு வந்துள்ளது அம்பலம் ஆகியுள்ளது. மூன்று தேர்தல் ஆணையர்களில் திரு. சுக்பிர் சிங் சந்து மற்றும் திரு. விவேக் ஜோஷி ஆகிய இருவருக்கும், தேர்தல் கமிஷனில் என்ன நடக்கிறது என்பதே தெரியாமல் மறைத்து வைக்கப்பட்ட செய்தி நாடு முழுவதும் அதிர்வலைகளை ஏற்படுத்தி இருக்கிறது. தங்களுக்குத் தெரியாமல் முடிவுகள் எடுக்கப்படுவது குறித்து, 10 மாதங்களில் 14 முறை அவர்கள் ஆட்சேபணை தெரிவித்தும் அவர்கள் புறக்கணிப்பட்டுள்ளது தேர்தல் ஆணையம் மீதான நம்பகத்தன்மையையே முற்றிலுமாகச் சீர்குலைத்துள்ளது.

தேர்தல் ஆணையர்கள் மூவரும் ஒருமித்த கருத்தின் அடிப்படையில் முடிவுகளை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும். அது சாத்தியமாகாத நிலையில், பெரும்பான்மையின் அடிப்படையில் முடிவுகள் அமைய வேண்டும் என்பதுதான் தேர்தல் ஆணைய விதி. ஆனால், மூவரில் இருவருக்குத் தாங்கள் பொறுப்பு வகிக்கும் அமைப்பில் என்ன நடக்கிறதென்பதே தெரியாமல் இருந்திருக்கிறதென்றால், இதனைச் சாதாரணமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ள முடியாது. இந்திய ஜனநாயகத்தின் மீது தொடுக்கப்பட்ட மிக மோசமான தாக்குதல் இது. சுதந்திரமாகவும் - வெளிப்படைத்தன்மையோடும் - அரசியல் குறுக்கீடுகள் இல்லாமலும் செயல்பட வேண்டிய உச்ச அமைப்பின் மீது மிகப் பெரும் களங்கம் படிந்துள்ளது.

“நீதிமன்றமே தலையிட்டு வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் சேர்க்கச் சொன்ன பிறகும், அவர்களது பெயர்களைச் சேர்ப்பதற்கு எதிராக மேல்முறையீடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. யார் இதனைச் செய்தது? அதுகுறித்து கூட எங்களுக்குத் தெரியவில்லை.
சட்டப்படி வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் திருத்தங்களைச் சரிபார்த்து மேற்கொள்ள ERO எனப்படும் வாக்காளர் பதிவு அலுவலர்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு. ஆனால், தகுதியுள்ள வாக்காளர்களாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் பெயர்களை வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் அவர்களால் சேர்க்க முடியவில்லை.
அதைச் செய்வதற்கான ERONet வலைத்தளம் முற்றிலுமாக ஒருவரின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் இருந்தது.” என இரண்டு தேர்தல் ஆணையர்களும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்கள் என்றால், தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தில் எந்த அளவுக்கு அரசியல் குறுக்கீடுகள் இருந்திருக்கும் என்பது தெள்ளத் தெளிவாகிறது.

ஏற்கெனவே, கடந்த மார்ச் மாதத்தில் தலைமைத் தேர்தல் ஆணையர் ஞானேஷ் குமார் அவர்களைப் பதவி நீக்கம் செய்ய திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம் உள்ளிட்ட எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் நோட்டீஸ் கொடுத்தோம். இனியும் அவர் அந்தப் பதவியில் நீடிக்க கூடாது. ஞானேஷ் குமார் அவர்களை உடனடியாகப் பதவிநீக்கம் செய்ய வேண்டும். SIR நடவடிக்கைகள் நிறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். இதுவரை தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தில் நடந்த அனைத்தும் நியாயமான முறையில் விசாரிக்கப்பட்டு இதற்குப் பொறுப்பானர்வர்கள் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் எனத் தி.மு.க. சார்பில் வலியுறுத்துகிறோம்.

Ever since childhood - one thing has not changed. There are too many of us (Indians).

Line up for ration, dhakka mukki in public bus, cram for engineering/medical for 0.1% selection rate, and even after getting in, compete for GPA against other god-tier maggus.

Then you go to the US and things are good for a while. You feel you are done with that shit for sometime.

But then too many Indians land up there as well. 5 IIT grads in your team all working weekends and nights eyeing the same manager promotion. You go to Costco and every one of those God-tier maggus is also getting the same damned deal - wtf - there's no coming out ahead.

All of your kids are competing to be top 5% in their class so they can get default admission into U of T at state tuition rates. Unfortunately you all live in the same suburbs built for new immigrants 20 years back. And 100% of kids cannot be 5%.

Yo - wasn't the whole point of mugging that your kids didn't have to?

You even bought a nice watch for yourself with your Faang gains, but then the famous Desi watch collector on X said it was overpriced crap and now you are looking at his collection and once again you feel like a 6.0 GPA in IIT.

The white racists notice too. And now they are complaining there are too many of you too. Yes Darling - we know. No one's more aware of this than us.

Even as you write this, you realize Manu Joseph - another Desi never mind the pseudo Anglican name - has probably written something like this. So you will even be the 107856th Indian to note in mildly clever prose that there are too many Indians.

You keep running all your life, but the Desi competition doesn't change. It's a constant - like Speed of Light. Fucking same in every reference frame.

The game of fraud CJP

1) Everything was well-planned.
2) NEET anger was real. Govt. was spooked.
3) Overnight, AAP supplied some boys for forming "CJP", and took full instructions from Modi, Shah, RSS.
4) Dipke was launched with fanfare. A non-entity, raised to minor stardom, to lead Jantar Mantar protest.
5) Goal - a controlled (fake) opposition to derail actual anger and opposition. Standard RSS modus operandi.
6) Drama started. But game wasn't getting built. So Sonam was urgently dropped into the scene.
7) Problem was that now actual Gen Z joined in, as their troubles were real, and deeply entrenched (way more than NEET scandals).
8) Govt. was spooked. Things spiralled out of control. A pan-India movement was born. They beat up students which led to a revolt.
9) CJP was spooked as well. They kept engaging in private talks with Modi team, where they were scolded repeatedly for not doing what they were supposed to.
10) Then Pradhan was removed.
11) Immediately, CJP happily took a presser with Modi Team to end all agitation and asked everyone to go home.

This is where we are. Remember: CJP is fake. It is Anna Part 2 (IAC 2). It was their misreading of Indian youth's problems that they birthed a national movement that won't stop now. Because Gen Z's problems are very deep and structural now.

Stop trusting these fakes.

NEET was introduced with three principal promises: (1) reduce the burden, (2) eliminate commercialisation, and (3) improve standards.

On every one of these counts, #NEET has failed. It has merely shifted the centre of learning from schools to coaching centres.

The problem with NEET has always been structural, not merely procedural. Recent events have vindicated that concern.

The ongoing student protests must serve as a wake-up call for the Union Government. It's time to trust the states. It's time to abolish NEET.
