There is no empirical evidence to suggest that creation of benches has improved the administration of Justice. Please see the Motilal Setalvad's Law Commission Report opposing bifurcation of High Courts on why it is a bad idea!

For my two other Private Members’ Bills, I reintroduced a bill that would establish a bench of the Kerala High Court in the capital, Thiruvananthapuram. It is absurd that the state spends multiple crores of rupees every year in travel expenses and TA/DA for officials to testify in litigation at the High Court to which the state is a party. In addition to these unnecessary costs, there is the lost efficiency from the absence of these officials from their desks in the state capital. Creating a bench in Thiruvananthapuram, in addition to the principal seat of the High Court in Kochi, would address a crying need.

My other Bill amends the Transgender Persons act to ensure horizontal reservations for transgenders across the board, to address the severe discrimination faced by such individuals in our society.
