I think we have been so consumed by content creation that many people have stopped seeing what separates it from journalism. Anyone can repeat a fact. A fisherman in Kerala was convicted of a string of murders. Nobody owns that line, you cannot possibly gatekeep it.
But a fact is just wet clay. Journalism is the craft of working it into something that holds, the reporting and then the writing, the checking that goes in before it reaches you and the responsibility that stays once the story is out.
Here is a crash course in that difference, from my days at Mint.
the hawai chappal is probably the most common piece of footwear our country has seen
we took what worked and evolved what didn’t to finally land at the 005 deluxe chappal

Bangalore's dosa scene is missing a relaxed, cafe-style place where one can sit for a while. MTR outlets come close but still don't have the right vibe.
Something like a larger Ondu Plate would work well.
