@mblumenthal They buy your business name when you use them. Targeting customers looking for your business and offering deals. Kind of pointless.

[Joy Hawkins @JoyanneHawkins]

Seeing a lot of business owners getting stuck with the "Temporarily Closed" label on their Google My Business listing and don't know how to remove it. I have updated my article to list a few different options as some of them aren't working properly. https://t.co/N9lLggBkbt

Garage door spam on Google Maps is out of control. I just looked at a SERP where 4/20 of the top listings were real businesses. #StopCrapOnTheMap

@TheSocialDude @keyserholiday @JoyanneHawkins @brightlocal @DarrenShaw_ @mblumenthal @krystal_taing @BubblesUp @rustybrick Thanks Ben! The feeling is mutual!

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@mblumenthal @JoyanneHawkins @krystal_taing @AaronWeiche Under what circumstances can a service business have multiple GMB accounts in the same state? Based on guidelines you only have to have a staffed office, sign, and that’s it right? Can you have too many of locations if you’re following guidelines.

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@mblumenthal @JoyanneHawkins @krystal_taing @AaronWeiche What are the unwritten rules of GMB that aren’t in the guidelines but you could get suspended for them.

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@JoyanneHawkins We had 3 get them today.

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@JoyanneHawkins We love when you do stuff like this!!! Thank you!

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

Hearing rumors of #gmb sending emails and having real conversations about listings being suspended etc. Two people reporting this to me in past two days. Trying to get my hands on emails.

@keyserholiday Locksmith

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@StJeanDS @JoyanneHawkins @rustybrick To your point, it should be but it also shouldn’t have taken this long to bring attention to it.

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@rustybrick @TheSocialDude @Optimisey @keyserholiday If they didn’t I would have to believe they’re turning a blind eye to something so blately obvious and totally in their control. The impact on local garage door companies is significant. Weekly conversation with our clients.

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@GuideTwit I stole this just FYI.

Google specifically mentions lead gen. I expect a crackdown coming. "Now war is declared and battle come down."

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@TheSocialDude Tons and tons

[Such n Such Media @suchmediateam]

@keyserholiday We have about 50 new spam accounts in GMB overnight within about 10 mile radius of us. It’s so obvious too.

Seeing new too rated messaging in the local finder. #localseo

@TheSocialDude @rustybrick Thanks Ben! Lots of love for your efforts and hopefully this becomes a thing.

@AaronWeiche The say “kill them with kindness” works. 🤷🏻‍♂️
