@united thanks for NOT helping my husband in any way, shape, or form tonight. Hes supposed to be flying from Chicago to Grand rapids Michigan, and was told that (here's a DIRECT QUOTE) "he doesn't get priority just because he's in the military." Not even a hotel room. Smh

@simone__kern I actually experienced this. It was not the habit itself that was destructive, it was the fact he swore he quit, but still imbibed. This time in secret. The secrets/lies/broken trust did us in. Therapy revealed he was suicidal and using to cope. Meds. Therapy. Trust exercises.

Now I have short stories published, and I'm looking for my grown-up job, and I'm not throwing away my shot.
