The easiest way to lose me as a friend/lover is asking them to pack leftover food for you just because you couldn’t finish it
Easiest way to know a greedy person
You ring your partner & they fail to pick up?
They text in a spare moment to tell you whats holding them up. Eventually when they return your call, they narrate all that happened without making it seem like a question & answer situation.
Accountability in action? Always top notch.
"Babe I shouldn't have said that"
"Thats true, I made this same mistake two weeks ago, I'll work on improving"
"I hurt you & I'm sorry, lets talk about it over dinner"
Communicating anything is easy.
You ask a question? They respond, no guilt tripping or anything corny.
These are bare minimums by the way.
Lets love right!
For many men, respect is closely tied to feeling valued, appreciated, and emotionally safe in a relationship. Just as many women often prioritize feeling loved, heard, and secure, many men place a high value on respect.
That doesn’t mean men value respect more than everything else or that all men think the same way. Healthy relationships need both love and mutual respect.
I know a couple who looked perfect from the outside.
The husband worked hard, provided for the family, and made sure their needs were met. The wife often told people he was a good man.
But during disagreements, she had a habit of mocking him in front of friends and family.
Small comments like:
“You won’t understand.”
“Leave it, you’re not good at these things.”
“What do you even know?”
Everyone laughed, including her.
He rarely reacted.
Over time, though, he became quieter. He stopped sharing his thoughts, avoided conversations, and spent more time away from home.
One day, she asked him why he seemed distant.
His answer surprised her:
“I can handle financial pressure. I can handle stress. But I can’t keep feeling small in my own home.”
That conversation changed their marriage because she finally understood that disrespect isn’t always shouting or insults. Sometimes it’s repeated dismissiveness, ridicule, or public embarrassment.
The lesson?
Love may bring people together, but mutual respect is often what keeps them together. Neither partner should feel belittled, ignored, or taken for granted.
How someone treats you consistently matters just as much as how much they say they love you.
Update: Last night, our baby did in fact arrive just before the Knicks won in five.
My wife and I are unbelievably happy. We have a healthy, adorable baby boy. Was tempted to name him Jalen Karl-Anthony OG Baba, but we kept our original choice.
Welcome, James Brooklyn Baba 🙌🏾
it’s not everything you have to defend no matter your bias.
How can we Cohabit the same space for days, and you will just be pressing phone, nobody is asking you to sponsor or prepare the meal.
Even to do the dishes or cleaning you can’t do?
And you are defending such bs at your big age, have some shame 💔💔💔
My wife is in labor!
@nyknicks, you have to win so my son is born in NYC on the day New York wins the NBA finals for the first time in 53 years. Give this baby a story to tell.
My baby is about to arrive, Knicks in 5!!!
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 53 YEARS, THE KNICKS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS 🏆
New York defeats San Antonio 4-1 in the NBA Finals, capturing their third championship in franchise history!
My first boyfriend (ex) got me my first iPhone back in 2021. I then used his birth year as my password and since then, I haven’t changed my password not because I want him back but because it’s a reminder of how much I appreciated him, even till now.
