Stellar review of Heiki's "Valley Beyond", our latest release on Suction Records, via @igloomag:
https://t.co/vu5VL3dtSh
"[Heiki] draws on his industrial roots while riffling through ambient, electro, house and techno...."
Excellent review of Analytica's latest LP, released recently via our Ice Machine sublabel, c/o @igloomag.
"These clever and cutting [social] criticisms are all written to sparkling synthesizer melodies, the cold reality comforted by analogue warmth."

Heiki "Komplexoboxx" from "Valley Beyond."
1st new Suction release for 2024, it moves seamlessly from sinister electro to funky acid, with melodic analog strings, 808 boom, and 303 squelch as constants, weaving in and out.

Minimal synth / wave, post-punk, old school EBM records on the turntables all night.
Ice Machine was my monthly minimal synth DJ night in Toronto that ran as for over a decade. This is the 2nd Ice Machine event for 2023 -- hope to see some of you there!
@MineralDisk I have gotten a pressing quote recently, yes, and it wasn't good. But that doesn't = proof that plants are price gauging. That's like a customer saying that labels are price gauging (which they do, constantly) and using "have you ordered a record online recently?" as backup/proof
@MineralDisk (2 of 2) But I don't see any reason to assume that record pressing plants are price gauging, or that it's all on them to figure out how to make their prices go down. They're still working at capacity AFAIK, so what is their motivation to solve this issue?
@MineralDisk (1 of 2) Totally true that nobody wants to pay $30 for a record, and the fact that this is the reality now, combined with the ever increasing price of shipping, is affecting sales drastically for us & every other label I've talked to.
@MineralDisk What makes you say plants are price gouging? Not saying I have info to the contrary, but can you back up your claim? Or may it be the case that plants are having to pass on rising costs of production to labels, just as we labels are having to pass on rising costs to customers?
