Arshad Narikkottu Mecheri (age approx. 20) from Kerala had gone solo trekking towards Beas Kund and got stranded in snow. His shoes were lost/soaked, leaving him unable to move.

On receiving the call via 112, SI Raj Kumar, deployed near Atal Tunnel, rushed with a police team towards the location.

The individual was found 2–3 km above Dhundi Bridge, stuck in deep snow and unable to walk.

Showing exceptional courage and prompt response, SI Raj Kumar and his team carried him on their back to safety.

👏 Kudos to the @himachalpolice for their bravery and swift action.

IndiGo CEO, Pieter Elbers , addresses customers :
Says IndiGo cancelled more than 1000 flights (Dec05) , more than half the number of its daily flights, extends sincerest apology .

Flight cancellations made were to align the crew to be where from where they need to start afresh tomorrow morning.

Requests customers not to go to the airport, as there will be cancellations tomorrow but under 1000.

Situation to return to normal between the 10th -15th Dec.

At Air India, safety is top priority. Following EASA and Airbus directives for a mandatory software and hardware realignment on A320 family aircraft worldwide, our engineers have been working round-the-clock to complete the task at the earliest. We have already completed the reset on over 40% of our aircraft that are impacted by this, and are confident of covering the entire fleet within the timeline prescribed by EASA.
