There is a race on to beat the last record. Being charged, held, arrested, and deprived of illegal gains are all risks in the game. Many are visibly successful, and that inspires. Most people in that state are not inclined to work as employees/contractual slaves bound by time. The rewards are too tempting.

@anjali_asks It's about the time and effort. It doesn't really matter how much the person earns. There has to be a base fee, and you charge additional fees for extra effort.

This is not about an individual. He and his coteries have been given adequate opportunities by all of us, and they have let us down time and again. Plus, the insensitivity and unwillingness to listen and make changes are completely missing. Where is the ethics and public character to be proud of? It's only rhetoric, personal ego-boosting, self-publicity, entertainment and nothing to make our lives better.

@venom1s It's possible to lose much more than that very easily if you are a novice. Realistically, only a few people make good money in stock markets. While the capital is one aspect, what you buy and sell and your strategy are more important. It's a game of patience, risk and agility.

I had a thought. Since there is an alcohol prohibition in Gujarat and Bihar, and ethanol is fundamentally ethyl alcohol, isn't storage and blending banned in those states? Do people get pure petrol in those states, or is the state government allowing the centre to flout its policy?

@venkat_fin9 Yes, mileage has dropped by 12 to 15% within the city for my car. It's around 4-6% less on highways. This must be true for others as well. My car is an E-10 BS-III-compatible model.

@livemint This is what politicians do best. This is nothing more than pulling the wool over our eyes. Which dealer or manufacturer is going to do this for free? Even for genuine warranty services, dealers try their best to avoid doing anything.

@R_N_Vaghani Ideally, since all this information is already available to the department, it should not need to be requested again. This seems to be a confirmation/verification exercise. In the name of simplification, they keep increasing the requirement. We must ask them to cut redundancy.
