A joyous moment for every Indian!
Chola Copper Plates dating back to the 11th Century will be repatriated to India from the Netherlands. Took part in the ceremony for the same in the presence of Prime Minister Rob Jetten.
The Chola Copper Plates are a set of 21 large plates and 3 small plates and largely contain texts in Tamil, one of the most beautiful languages of the world. They relate to the great Rajendra Chola I formalising an oral commitment made by his father, King Rajaraja I. They also showcase the greatness of the Cholas. We in India are immensely proud of the Cholas, their culture and their maritime prowess.
I thank the Government of the Netherlands and Leiden University in particular, where the Copper Plates were kept since the mid-19th century.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has ordered the closure of 717 government-run TASMAC liquor retail outlets located within a 500-meter radius of places of worship, educational institutions, and bus stations, within two weeks.
At the risk of sounding old-school or 'boomer'... Not a big fan of these educational institutions hosting cinema stars and making a song and dance out of it.
I understand them coming as guests, saying a word or two, distributing awards, etc, but a full-blown dance show, as if it is a film-related event...
Probably not the brightest of ideas.
When I see athletes lose an important match by a very small margin, it makes me reflect on my own goals in life. I think about what it would feel like to give my absolute best and still fall short. Even when success is very close, failure is still possible. That idea scares me because I am not sure if I could handle such a deep disappointment. Watching these athletes reminds me that chasing big dreams is difficult, and sometimes hard work alone does not guarantee success. #INDvENG #Bethell
And suddenly,
- The man waking up at 6 AM for work.
- Having lunch at 3:30 PM due to long call.
- Sleeping by 9:30 PM to survive corporate.
Isn’t your dad anymore.
It’s you.
Nothing tests the human spirit like motherhood. The first 3 years with a baby - the toughest job in the world. Just witnessing it from beside will humble you to the core, happened to me. Every mother deserves the support of ten and the compassion of a hundred.

After watching Australia dominate the Ashes one now gets the gravity what India achieved after losing in Adelaide in 2021 .It has to be India’s greatest series win with a full strength Aussie Side 🙌 #India
Heartbroken to hear about the Tejas crash at the Dubai Air Show and the loss of Wing Commander Namansh Syal. My thoughts are with his family and with everyone in the Indian Air Force who has lost one of their own 🙏
Display and test pilots take on some of the riskiest flying in the world. They fly at low heights, perform high-G manoeuvres and push the aircraft to its limits so that India’s aviation can continue to grow with confidence. Their courage, and the quiet strength of their families, deserves our deepest respect.
Tejas is still an incredible example of what India has built. I was fortunate to fly in it with Wing Commander Siddharth Singh. He trusted me enough to let me experience a barrel roll and those steep dives. Those few minutes showed me not just the power of the aircraft, but the composure, skill and bravery of the pilots who fly it.
Respect to Wing Commander Syal. Strength to his family. Salute to everyone who protects our skies. 🤍🙏

Strangers are just familiar souls who meet us at the crossroads of who we were and who we're meant to be.
They are guides in disguise, showing us paths of ourselves that we would not be able to see ok our own.
