@TheMaskManOfTG @deepbarot@Djkeene1 Halloween is an American tradition, if Ganesh Chaturthi were one too, nobody would object. The issue isnโt about hurting anyone, itโs about the inconvenience caused to others.
@TheMaskManOfTG @deepbarot@Djkeene1 Siggu dheniki babu? You are good at gaslighting. The point was never about having the freedom to go out and wear what you want, but itโs more about causing nuisance to others. There is a saying, โWhen you are in Rome, be a Roman.โ.
@TheMaskManOfTG @deepbarot@Djkeene1 Peacefully? Loud noise isnโt peaceful, itโs a disturbance to everyone else. Do it in a closed space and no one will have an issue with it.
@TheMaskManOfTG @deepbarot@Djkeene1 Did you even get my point? I never mentioned anyone moving back to India. What I said was simple, do things the way theyโre done here, not the way theyโre done in India.
@deepbarot@Djkeene1 I see from your profile you follow US politics. Do you really think the current political climate is as supportive of immigration as it once was? Donโt make it worse by pulling stunts like this on the streets and spoiling it for others who dream to come to the US to make a career
@deepbarot@Djkeene1 India isnt underdeveloped because people move to America. Itโs underdeveloped because of what we do at home; no civic sense, polluted waters, blocked roads, and the rich acting like rules donโt apply to them. My point is simple: celebrate in a closed space, not out on the streets
@deepbarot@Djkeene1 So the logic is that being educated and wealthy gives Indians the right to block streets for festivals? That mindset is exactly why India is still โdeveloping.โ Even Trump celebrates Diwali, but he doesnโt turn it into a street drama.
@darren_da_costa@Djkeene1 OP wasnโt talking about jobs being taken. The point was about the baggage that comes with H1Bs. I just donโt understand how youโre defending street celebrations in this context.
@Iq0u3e9rv7s2g0I @Djkeene1 What many donโt realize is the sad ending of these Indian festivals. Search โGanesh Nimarjanโ on YouTube, youโll see people bringing huge Ganesh idols only to dump them in rivers or lakes. People started doing this in the US. So sad that we are turning US to another India.
@deepbarot@Djkeene1 I hope youโre keeping up with the news on whatโs happening in Australia with immigrants. The same thing is coming to the US soon. We really need to stop behaving like this is India before it is too late.
