We are speaking to many MPs at the moment about NHS privatisation.
We’re told frequently ‘my constituents don’t mind private companies running NHS services’.
Do you mind? 🚨
If you mind, pls RT 💙
@theAliceRoberts I cant speak for the schools in your area, Alice but I'm a caretaker in a large secondary school and it takes me the best part of an hour and a half locking up at the end of the day due to all the windows being open in all the buildings.
Everyone who laughed a year ago when Donald Trump said the best way to stop the virus spreading would be to stop testing people might want to bear in mind that the UK government is about to adopt that as policy.
He says he’s calm but he is livid. And rightly so. How dare we waste thousands of hours of people’s time. People paid for by all EU citizens and taken away from working on other things. Scandalous egotism from the British Government.
No plan for lockdown, no plan for testing, no plan for PPE, no plan for shielding, no plan for social care. Hard to imagine a graver dereliction of duty by a government to its citizens.
“Your health is in your hands” in a pandemic reminds of another pretend public health message about healthy diet: “you are what you eat”. The reality is of course: you are what you afford to eat, and your health is in the hands of the wider system & society if you lack resources.
Did I miss the bit where they said it would be foolish to stop mask-wearing in secondary schools, given the increase in variant cases? #DowningStreetBriefing
Johnson kept the travel corridor to India open because he wanted to go there and be seen as the big man, announcing some commercial deals. In so doing, he allowed into the UK the Indian variant of COVID that is now killing people and spreading fast. Still, he's a laugh isn't he?
🚨Right guys, we have a challenge🚨
This “let’s blame Dom” story has probably been timed to push the PPE scandal articles off the front pages. We need everyone to understand what happened in court yesterday against the government.
💙Pls RT this thread.
🤞Can we hit 1000 RTs?🤞
Tomorrow, Monday, a patient-power letter goes to Matt Hancock protesting the take over of NHS surgeries by Centene... a profit-driven American health company. If you don’t want your NHS run by America, Speak Out Now! You could be next!
Shameful scenes in Parliament just now as Tory MPs voted to block Labour's call for a proper inquiry into lobbying.
They're terrified it would uncover more rotten dealings between Tory MPs and their super-rich backers.
Of course the Tories weren’t going to vote for a Labour motion to have a committee-led inquiry into their stinking corruption. Because to do so would mean:
1) actually giving a shit
2) being prepared to be accountable
3) putting aside partisan twattery when it mattered.
So whose turn is it to step up in the Tory corruption tag-team today? Ah. Cameron’s. Giving Johnson, Jenrick, Hancock, Patel etc.... a (not so) well-earned break. Sunak cheers them on. Media tuts a bit and we seem to just shrug at them all taking the piss out of us.
Healthy.
