🚨BEACON UPDATE | FOUND PASSED

It's with profound sadness that we share the following update from Northumbria Police, who have been leading the investigation into missing soldier, Liam.

A body has sadly been found in the search for missing Northumberland man Liam.

Concerns were raised on Saturday after the 22 year old had not returned home following a night out with friends.

He was last seen at about 12.20am that day, heading into Wylam from Wylam Bridge.

Extensive searches have been carried out since and we made the sad find today in the River Tyne close to Wylam Bridge.

Formal identification is yet to take place but Liam’s next of kin have been notified and are currently being supported by specially trained officers.

We do not believe there to be any third party involvement and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

From everyone at Restore Armed Forces Veterans ur thoughts are with Liam's family and friends during this difficult time.

BEACON ALERT | MISSING SERVING SOLDIER

There are growing concerns for the welfare of Liam, aged 22, a serving soldier, who has been reported missing in Northumberland.

LAST SEEN: Shortly after midnight in the early hours of Saturday, 15 August 2026, heading towards Wylam from Wylam Bridge.

DESCRIPTION

- White
- 6ft 3ins
- Medium build
- Dark hair
- Tattoos down his right arm

LAST SEEN WEARING

- Black joggers
- Black Nike trainers
- Black T-shirt with large text and a diamond logo on the back
- Gold chain

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to locate Liam, and police and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
