The firm earns millions in post-settlement fees while donating hundreds of thousands to Newsom’s campaigns and anti-recall efforts.

Partner Frank Pitre even sits on the Trust Oversight Committee overseeing payouts to Camp Fire victims. Ratepayers fund Newsom's California Wildfire Fund (AB 1054) through higher electricity bills, while Joseph Cotchett’s firm profits. Taxpayers are on the hook to bail out utility companies—like the record $15 billion DOE loan guarantee to PG&E finalized during Biden’s last days in office.

🔥 Jennifer Siebel Newsom Under Federal Investigation

California First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of Gov. Gavin Newsom, is the subject of a Justice Department investigation into tax-related conduct tied to her nonprofit work.

The probe, which began last year based on whistleblower reports, includes interviews, grand jury subpoenas, and scrutiny of family finances.

Gavin Newsom responded strongly, saying:

“If they can’t intimidate me, they’ll go after the mother of our children… Donald Trump picked the wrong target. We have nothing to hide.”

He also called it part of a “personal vendetta” and urged to “leave my wife and family out of your personal vendetta.”

This adds another layer of scrutiny to the Newsom administration.
