'Asylum seeker', 44, is arrested in a counter-terror probe after migrant hostel double stabbing in Hartlepool that left member of the public dead and another seriously hurt.

Locals said the terraced house is occupied by three or four asylum seekers, who have been there since the start of year.

It is thought the incident which led to two people being stabbed, one of them fatally, began at the house around 5.30am on Sunday. It then spilled out on to the street.
