8 days. No power. No sleep.
Families in Gary, Indiana are staying up all night to watch over their own homes and cars — in pitch black. The city that's nearly 85% Black, has been left to fend for itself while over 83,000 buildings and homes across Northwest Indiana are STILL without electricity. Some won't see their lights back on until next Tuesday.
Content creators are spreading the news across social platforms including Keith Lee who recently contacted the mayor's office to get supplies to Gary.
Spoiled food. Missed work. Exhausted residents trying to make it through the night, and get back to normal.
Indiana needs help. Click the link in our bio for access to official relief organizations.

Last year I raised $80,000 to help more than two dozen HBCU students pay tuition balances so they can graduate. I'm doing it again this semester. In just one hour I'm close to $10,000 raised. Let's help these young folks graduate.

@smerconish Former president Trump’s sustained poll numbers has more to do with what voters are told by their “news outlets” , feeding them with alternative facts and flat out lies for entertainment and profits.
@smerconish Former President Trump and many in his administration destroyed all social norms and therefore should be granted no special considerations until he acknowledges his wrongful actions for which he is indicted.
Thank you @serenawilliams for this:

I've enjoyed being a witness. I hope the next phase of your life is all that you hope it will be.
@MrColionNoir 100% agree. We are in an alternate truth society. Where someone can just deny everything they don't like, facts and truth are just not a thing anymore...
