"Battle for the Planet of the Apes" (1973)

Started good continuing exploring themes established in the movies prior and developing Caesars character in a way that's believable. But as soon as the final battle actually starts it just feels rushed and unfulfilling.

"Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972)

Best movie of the franchise for now. Caesar has a great character arc supported through subtle elements in the film. His monologue in the end is very well done and the themes explored still have importance 50 years later.

Limited Capspace on Twitter didn't allow me to write as much as I would like to because I only wanted to write about one movie per thread. I think I will write reviews on letterboxd to formulate all my thoughts in the future
