It’s really fucked up how people were actively spreading hopium through random colored marks and a bunch of other bullshit pressuring people not to be realistic about the situation are now all quiet or “just as angry” as us.

ok y'all real shit: I'm officially done with love and deepspace until further notice.

my last straw was september and a multi and now we're here. I can't keep chasing after a multimillion dollar company for months. I got a life, my uni classes start soon and I won't be able to actively participate in the boycott as much as now.
The game has stayed DELETED since june and will stay like that until they get over their pride and finally release valko.

It's a shame since what was a beautiful game with great potential turned out this way but us consumers can't do much about it if the company keeps making bad decisions despite a loud and effective boycott like ours.
I STILL love this game but I can't in good conscience enjoy it at the expense of another character that was needed for this game's future.

I'll randomly check in sometimes but my account will start pivoting towards other hobbies so if you don't want to be here for that you're free to unfollow I don't mind.

Yes, they have a plan. I’m going to give you the roadmap, aka I’ve seen this exact thing happen about three thousand times. I even made a fake apology tweet because I’m convinced the real one will look something like that eventually. It’s always the same corporate bs

They’ll keep moving like nothing happened. Valko comes back when they hit a point of no return, when revenue goes to hell and/or the game starts declining. Even if things recover for a while, eventually they’ll hit a plateau and need something “new” to bring people back.

Then comes the long apology letter. They’ll promise to make up for all the content he lost, throw a bunch of rewards at players, and try to pull everyone back in. I give it, like, six months? one year tops.

Some people will return, some won’t, and the people who stayed through all of this will probably be mostly indifferent to his return by then. The antis probably won’t care enough to keep fighting forever either. By that point, they’ll likely get bored and move on too, and then Infold will turn around and start trying to call us back.

At least from the outside, it looks like Infold calculated the damage and decided that losing these players now is more profitable than releasing Valko right now. Apparently, the people still spending are the audience they’re prioritizing, so that’s the path they’re following. The players they lose with this release are just calculated collateral damage.

There are no feelings involved. It’s money.

Valko is money. When the money starts running short, he’ll be back.

The problem is that by the time that happens, the creativity may already be gone. A lot of the players who cared about the game’s integrity probably won’t come back even if Valko does, if this is how things play out. His return will be seen, planned or not, as a cheap cash-grab.

The fanbase will probably be more niche and divided than ever, and the game itself could turn into God knows what. Maybe it recovers, maybe it doesn’t.

But either way, it won’t be what it was before.

It’s forever changed.

PPG doesn’t deserve any more of my patience. I hope others realize that your time and patience is valuable. I don’t regret spending 80+ days boycotting. I will boycott LADS forever and I’ll tell other people to stay away from PPG games. I’ll always love Valko ofc
