@dvdnhm@dnapway@PalmerLuckey The point of most analyst reports I have seen is sales.
Consumer reports = more sales to consumers
Industry reports = more sales to report sponsors
No malice. Just business
This is how you get stuff like this.
I have never heard of Writer that's right next to Anthropic
@BillAckman@MIT How's Kristin Knouse going to pay out the $6M judgement against her in favor of @DMSabatini if she is stripped off the ability to work?
@PalmerLuckey@dnapway Wouldn't the analysts that provide a path to manufacture an iPhone in the USA for a fraction of the cost be more employable than those that state that it cannot be done under $30k?
A Soviet joke that captures the idea of voting for sharing other people's stuff, while drawing a hard line if it involves something you personally possess:
Two comrades are talking.
"Comrade, if you had two houses, would you give one to a needy person?"
"Of course! Thatโs what communism is all about."
"And if you had two cars?"
"Naturally - anything you donโt need is theft."
"What if you had two coats?"
"No way."
"Why not?"
"Because I actually have two coats."
@ExtremumAdv@TheStudyofWar All that you stated may be true but thousands of people are still dying and millions are displaced.
"Let's continue what we have been doing for indefinite time at any cost" does not sound like a winning strategy
Other than the political monopoly and residual official ideology, there's not much remaining that could be recognized as traditionally defined communism.
China has been able to make its party-state capitalism work very well. The benefit-risk trade-off of a solution that would replace the political monopoly does not make the elimination of the political monopoly a clear choice.
@Exhomen@Capitalists1776@GlobalDiss Acknowledging a problem is the first step to its solution. China country leadership's ability to approach problems analytically signals that the CCP may be able to recognize and address problems before they can threaten its dominance
