@kaioharushin The stills from Yukoku are some of the most powerful imagery Mishima ever created, other than his recreation of Saint Sebastian and his harakiri scene in Hitokiri by Hideo Gosha.
Mishima's gimei Seki Magoroku used for his seppuku.
The original owner, Nakamura Taizaburo, is said to have bought it for 40k yen at a sword shop in Kobe and sold it to Hiroshi Funasaka for 50k yen. Mishima believed the sword was a genuine Seki Magoroku until the day he died.
@shinobu_books This is why you don't let kendoka who don't train with shinken ever do any form of tameshigiri or anything related to cutting. Actual hasuji maintained into a deep cut with a real sword is something most kendoka like Morita and Koga wouldn't have actually trained for.
@Watari_toppa The extreme majority of katateuchi blades from the Muromachi period were only shortened in blade length when damage was caused and could never be suriage with the length of the nakago. My tachi has never been shortened in either blade or nakago, only different koshirae.
"Nitenichi-ryu"
>dogshit cosmetics that are just mall ninja swords for the majority
>ending that is just DLC bait
>laughably easy bosses until Shuten-doji
>constant Heian fetishism, same rehashed plot influenced by Yamada Futaro fantasy elements
>random Kaguyahime name drop
