It applies to non UK/EU carries too in case the departure is from UK/EU. Don't spare these guys and ask compensation. If denied try @theairhelper. I am gonna try to but have little hopes.

Hey @AirCanada what kind of BS service you have. The flight AC 854 from Toronto to LHR is delayed indefinitely, you don't cancel it, don't allow for rebooking and don't replace the plane on time. And you will conveniently not give compensation citing "safety" related delay.

@AirCanada @CTA_gc Ordeal summary: After 7 hours delay we have been boarded on a new plane. Absolutely ridiculous treatment by some of the @AirCanada ground staff members. The flight should have been cancelled and rescheduled completely. Of course no hope of compensation. @CTA_gc @Transport_gc

@AirCanada @CTA_gc Nice power play by your staff @AirCanada by calling the police but not calling the superior officer who's in charge of taking decisions to intimidate already distressed passengers. Worst service of all, never flying with you again. @CTA_gc hope you are taking note of this.
