honestly been a tough week for me
monday was good but ive felt out of sync with the market since. its great seeing how many ppl are winning, but its hard not to get in your head when you feel like youre underperforming at the same time
SOL trenches being this dead is honestly disheartening. it’s also hard to just flip a switch and have an edge in an unfamiliar eco
going to unwind this weekend. ill still be around watching but not trading as much. need some time to get a better read on whats happening across chains & come back fresh
hope yall have a great weekend
SOL was buns today
caught one cook on robinhood then spent the rest of the day making & giving back the same 10 SOL
shouldve just logged off instead of trading out of boredom tbh
popped an advil pm
gn friends
when i got into this space in 2024 i loaded $300 into SOL & ran it up to around $70k in a few months
i promptly gave it all back. revenge traded $70,000 back to a few hundred dollars. i felt fucking awful
from there, i locked in & turned my few hundred bucks into $300k
guess what happened next?
i traded that back down to $5,000
i did some version of that dance several more times. im stubborn & apparently dont learn my lessons the first time
the feeling of working so hard to build a portfolio then burning it all down is miserable. it can happen so fast too
you dont even realize what the hell youre doing until you look up & all of your hard work is gone
you feel worthless. how did i let this happen? what the fuck did i even do?
the money never feels real until you lose it. but it stings when it’s gone
anyways, after zeroing out several times i knew something had to change
for me, getting capital out of my trading wallets helped a lot. cold storage, offramping into long term stock portfolios, anything that kept me from having easy access to large sums while tilted
when i made money, i had rules for moving some of it somewhere safe & out of reach
i believed if id ran up decent sums before, i could do it again, and i was right
i built my port to around a $2m ATH in 2025
im down a good chunk from ATH, as i imagine most of us who have heavy exposure to crypto are, & have been slowly clawing back through the bear
i still have a tendency to tilt & revenge trade. i havent fixed it completely, ive just gotten much better at recognizing when its happening & stopping before it gets way worse
obviously i wish i kept all the money i made when i was getting started, but i learned lessons i dont think i couldve learned any other way
i wouldnt be in the position i am today without those wild swings & losing it all multiple times
figure out what works for you. set rules you can actually follow. learn how to control your emotions & never stop improving.
being a good trader means constantly learning, adapting & getting better
many ppl cant run it up in the first place
if you’ve done it before, you can do it again, and you can learn how to keep it
one of the most important skills in the trenches, and something im still trying to get better at, is knowing when the market has changed & adapting how you trade with it
when the trenches are hot, you can hold longer, aim for higher price targets & win by top blasting volume.
on the flip side, shit can dry up quick, even during a bull. there will be days or weeks where nothing sends. scale back size, be more selective of when you enter, & take profit quicker
metas are constantly rotating too. what is super genny today might be complete dogshit next week
observe what is being rewarding & play to that.
trade the conditions you have, not the ones you wish you had or got used to. the market does not care what you think should be happening
if i was starting from 0 today id be fully locked in on the pumpfun app
no connections or audience needed. just find gems, make callouts, & u will grow a following
(they even pay u for good calls which is sick)
absurd opportunity rn to build a name for yourself onchain
