Friends, @HabboOrigins has been available on Steam for 4 months now - and currently sits on MIXED reviews.

While some are more than justified and valid experiences, the majority of negative reviews are:
- Folk who don't actually play (or Habbo players)
- Folk who just want free things
- Folk who didn't get the free things they wanted

If you haven't written a review yet - have a think over the last few months - Gardening, Fishing, new furni lines, Neopets collab, treasure maps, NPC shops.

There's SO much happening in the hotel - there's been more updates in the last 6 months than the first year of the game.

Habbo Origins can still be very attractive to new folk, and while it still has some issues, it's very playable.

And a lot of complaints would feel much less heavy if there were more players.

Anyway - go and consider writing/updating your review. Let's see if together we can get into positive territory!

Shockwave is—and will continue to be—Sulake’s biggest hurdle. The greatest inhibitor to the growth of #HabboHotelOrigins is its reliance on this unsupported, end-of-life platform.

1️⃣ some players are having difficulties connecting existing Origins accounts to Steam.

2️⃣ some MacOS users are unable to launch the game from Steam.

In the Proof of Concept, it was demonstrated by simply clicking on the room in the Navigator, calc.exe would launch on your local machine. Now imagine if instead it downloaded and executed an infostealer, keylogger, or RAT malware.

Imagine if #HabboHotelOrigins didn’t get approved by Steam… They are running on a discontinued and EOL/EOS platform (Shockwave) after all. From a security perspective, it’s not ideal. Remember, Origins launched in 2024 with at least one provable RCE exploit.
