Carla's 2024 books! 1. Yes, Please by Amy Poehler. This was funny but not the same kind of funny as something like Tina Fey's Bossypants. I think Bossypants was written to be funny, while this is funny mainly because Amy is naturally funny. I knew that going in, so I wasn't...
@SnarkySims Oooh, I hadn't heard about Two Point Museum! I'll have to look that one up.
I'm definitely going to be in the market for a new PC (or big upgrade of my current one) in the next year or so. Mine's from the beginning of 2020 and is showing its age!
Just set up Empty Standby List, which is often mentioned as a step to prevent Sims 2 crashing. I thought I'd already done it but after I started doing it, I realised I *never* have, on any PC. So it will be interesting to see how I go next time I play.
She was very proud of herself that she paused the game on her own. She cannot control a mouse for the life of her though, so we'll work on that. I'm doing most of the playing for now!
I played Sims 4 for a bit with my niece last night and she created her sims. She did the same as she did when we played about a year ago - one sim was a YA with her name and the other sim was a child, with my sister's name. 😂
Also, her styling choices were...something. She is currently wearing a light pink evening gown for everyday, with those ugly EA base game heels...in brown. She has paired this with bright pink blush and lipstick that is orange on top and yellow on the bottom.
If you're curious what kind of CC a 3.5yo demands her aunty download for her, the bulk of it is either wedding dresses or Barbie-themed. And also a pink office set that I think she *thinks* is Barbie themed. 😂
My niece came CC shopping with me this afternoon and she just about lost her little mind at this house!

It's very easy to load up 4 for her and keep her entertained for an hour or so, so I'm building a mods folder for her.
@SnarkySims@lakesideheights I'm looking at a screenshot right now which shows the icon displayed while they were in the feminine bottoms section, so I think it might work for clothes too!
@SnarkySims@MoniqueValley@lakesideheights No, I think I'm in the minority! 😅
But same. I remember seeing that you could actually write dialogue options and that was the modding tool I really wanted to play around with and also see what others came up with. It's a shame we won't get to see it.
@SnarkySims@MoniqueValley@lakesideheights Understandable, I guess. I'm bummed though. LBY was the life sim I was most looking forward to. I don't know if I can gel with the art style of Paralives, as great as the game play sounds.
@TheHenfordHen @TheSims I would definitely toss Werewolves and Vampires, without a second thought.
I guess I'll keep Get Together for the *fantastic* world but it would be very close between it and Growing Together.
