overwhelmed by the feedback to our talk at #dnp15 yesterday. what a privilege to be given a stage to advocate for more diversity in spaces of climate action! Many thanks to @DSIntegration@CocaColaEP for giving us the opportunity to speak.

This digital Andon board for a queue of 3 @TU_Muenchen reminds me of @MichaelPollitt2 in a @TechPolicyMPhil class last year:
"they clearly haven't done a proper CBA."
Then again, I wonder if the Instagram post might drag the NPV above 0? Guess I'll never know..
4/10 In fact, it may be fair to assume that standards and public investments may be as much as prone to policy failure as is carbon pricing - if not more. For two reasons, as we point out here: https://t.co/33uq5wSYwZ
Plausible claim by @Sir_David_King and @rsparnell in @washingtonpost that addressing climate change could cost less than fighting covid-19. The problem -- similar to the global financial crisis analogue -- is how to create the same political urgency? https://t.co/fkJqJjAMRf
Conclusion from debate with @P_Graichen@jmpandera @MatthiasBuck4: Renewables debate is at different stages in different countries - political acceptance and a joint approach towards phasing out lignite earlier is central.
Enlightening presentation of new @AuroraER_Oxford@AgoraEW@ForumEnergii study on phasing out lignite in PL, CZ and GER by @HannsKoenig et al.

Key takeaways⬇️
Join the presentation of our study on phasing out lignite in 🇵🇱🇨🇿🇩🇪 for @ForumEnergii and @AgoraEW tomorrow, featuring @P_Graichen, @jmpandera, @MatthiasBuck4 and yours truly. It'll be fun!
1) Lignite phase-out in the early 2030s appears economically (& technologically) feasible in all three countries
2) Earlier phase-outs tend to result in *lower* wholesale electricity prices from 2030 onwards
3) System costs are only marginally affected by earlier phase-outs 2/

'Towards a Shareholder-Driven Transition to a Green Economy’ by @SultaDar emphasizes leveraging well-coordinated ESG investments as a central tool to mitigate the effects of climate change #scipol#climatepolicy https://t.co/lS5bOxHnNS
We've said it before and we'll say it again: green #netzero recovery from #COVID19 is better for the economy, for jobs, for health and for the climate.
I am sorry, but if it's 2020 and your business is still running like carbon emissions do not need to be priced, you clearly have no sense for strategy.
