@gregisenberg Third, the human factor extends to other parts of the solicitors’ routine. Who would represent you in court? Who would negotiate for you with other businesses? I believe that most would find it difficult trusting the unaccountable tech, instead of an experienced professional.
@gregisenberg Second, law firms already use AI in their work, so the immediate aftermath for the junior employees has already happened. The issue with AI is that lawyers are paid for their critical thinking, which AI inherently lacks, so it hasn’t “collapsed the industry”, at least yet.
@AvaSantina Oh yeah, it’s shocking that the British PM didn’t antagonise the new leader of the most important strategic and economic partner who is famous for being emotional and throwing tantrums in international politics
@rhcm123 It’s literally not what is written in the screenshots you provided. Providing an exemption in cases of new and significant evidence of “serious offences” is not equivalent to abolishing double jeopardy. Especially, since there has not been any cases of the abuse of this system.
@corncommunist Moreover, there is a whole separate process of officially surrendering to the other party, as per the international law. Ukraine has plenty and more various resources for soldiers to safely tell them that they want to surrender and receive instruction on how to do that.
@corncommunist Aside from a moral perspective of being a willing soldier for an occupying force, this argument holds no water. If that was a war crime, then everytime a drone would locate a target, target could simply put its hands up, wait for it to retreat and continue fighting again.
@FPSthetics It was a good game, but this fighting gameplay got on my nerves at around half-point of the game. Due to low variety of enemies and weapons, it was basically the same moves repeated on same enemies in similar looking locations. Driving was hella fun though
@MammaliaErectus 2.
@MammaliaErectus 1.
@MikeMcLean00 If the due process was followed, then there is nothing inherently wrong with it. Instead, article argues that it should not be allowed to prohibit parents from accessing Court’s records in regards to the euthanasia of their children (which is a different argument to make).
IMHO, we should let all those 'false flag operation' theories go for good.
The Kremlin needs no reason and no excuses for anything anymore.
Neither for a new wave of mobilization in Russia (which is inevitable and is coming soon now that Putin has re-crowned himself), nor for the most brutal and barbaric attacks on Ukraine, or any sort of domestic crackdown like full totalitarianism or martial law and the state of total war in Russia (the Russian people are historically okay with being treated this way, as we see).
They're already doing everything to Ukraine they can.
They don't need a mass murder of some 130 individuals at a concert hall to go on with their largest European war of conquest since Adolf Hitler.
The Moscow mass murder by an Islamic State affiliate's militants is a massive, gargantuan, epic failure of the Kremlin's state security apparatus, which has been too busy zealously prosecuting "LGBT extremists" and trying to eradicate Ukraine as a nation instead.
Especially given the fact that the West gave warnings to Russia based on its intelligence regarding possible terror attacks in Moscow.
Yet, that bald-headed degenerate, in his own style, disdainfully threw the message into the West's face and used it in his brainless anti-Western war propaganda, publicly calling the warnings 'provocations, blackmailing, and intimidation.'
Well, now you eat it.
So, of course, now Putin and his slaves are ridiculously spinning around trying to pile this on CIA/NATO/'the Kiev regime'/ Nazis/Americans/Martians/whatever.
It's not that they fucked things up to the point of failing to prevent and respond to the deadliest terror attack in Russia in 20 years (!) despite the West's heads-up, right?
Vladimir Putin and his clique are just a synonym for pitch-black disgrace and vileness.

⚡⚡⚡ Ukrainian soldier finds evidence of war crimes on camera stolen by Russian invaders.
The camera contains photos of a family from a Ukrainian village that was occupied by Russians for a month, as well as photos of Russian soldiers themselves and evidence of their war crimes.
One video shows a line of civilians, including children, being led away with their hands and eyes tied.
